About Us

Pics Place was first opened by Glen "Pic" Carleton. Pics wasn't always a liquor store. It started out as a coffee shop, turned into a gift shop, then eventually moved to lotto and liquor.

Over the years Pics Place has had many owners but the name has stayed the same. Most recently, Shae, and her husband, Clint, took over Pics Place in January 2021. They have since welcomed their daughter, Maeve, in June 2021. Shae continues to bring improvements and new ideas to Pics, including a new look!

9 Mile legacy

This is as local as it gets! The name comes from the Moen and Pederson homesteads which were 9 miles apart near the towns of Cabri and Abbey. Opened in 2015, it has since had some very creative beers leave it’s doors - Including one named after our very own Cabri Bulldogs!

Pile O' bones brewing co.

Brewed in Regina, Saskatchewan and named after Regina’s unofficial nickname, Pile O’ Bones Brewing Co. has so many unique beers that you are sure to find one you love!

Black bridge brewery

The name comes from the small iron bridge a few kilometers south of Swift Current. They hold values of being “down-to-earth, strong, honest and proud to represent Saskatchewan brewing”

Phantom Light Distillery

All 5 owners are true blue, born and raised Saskatchewanians. Made in Prince Albert, Phantom Light gets it's name from the story of the St. Louis Ghost Light. This light is mysteriously seen on the abandoned train tracks outside of St. Louis, Saskatchewan.
